If you're going to be stuck in the hospital, this is the one to be stuck in. Friday concert by former American Idol contestant Tim Halperin with cotton candy & popcorn!
Bella drew this picture for Tim. He later posted a pic of it on his Twitter and Instagram accounts. Cool guy!
I'm late with my update today because we had a busy afternoon of visitors (and I keep talking to my mom). Brian took the night shift last night & I slept 6 hours straight without nightmares - I felt like a new woman today (almost). Bella had a tough physical therapy session this morning and then went straight from there to the courtyard for the concert. Then she had to visit the art studio to fini...sh painting a few things. That wore her out pretty good. Her occupational therapist came by around 2 and worked with her for a long time. She threw the bean bag bunnies - this time she pegged Daddy a few times. Her upper body strength is improving ever so slightly. Shortly after the OT session, her visitors started arriving. Aunt Amy and cousins Emma and Ben came by for a few hours. And then Faith, Brody and Brian's mom showed up. Bella really enjoyed her time with Faith and Emma. It is good (and important) for her to see friends.
Doctors said today that inpatient rehab is a necessary next step. She'll be in the hospital until Tuesday now and then will transfer to Baylor Our Children's rehab house in dallas. She'll be there at least 7 days.
I forgot to mention that she spoke with the psychologist this morning and she helped Bella come up with a list of questions for the doctors. Bella read the list to the group of neurologists that visit her daily. Her primary neurology doctor (who is amazing) answered each and every question honestly. I'll post a pic of the questions next.
Bella is currently receiving her last IVIg treatment. She'll get her IV out tonight (yippee!) and will be on to the next step of treatment - rehab.
Oh and one more thing. My awesome husband ( Brian) volunteered for a 2nd overnight hospital shift since he can typically sleep through anything and I cannot sleep much at all there. Plus he's a really incredible dad and I'm blessed to co-parent with him.

Almost midnight:
One final update (maybe one of two) and this one is a sad one. Last night, Brian kept himself awake long enough to listen for Bella's nightmares (and sleep-talking) that I had told him about. As she does every night, she had nightmares and in one of the nightmares, she cried for home over and over. She wants to go home so badly!
Faith cried a lot tonight at the hospital. She misses Bella.
At bedtime tonight Brody and I talked about all that's going on and he said he really misses Bella. He said she's the funnest person (she plays really well with him) and he wants her to come home too. We all do :(
